Campus-Wide Lecture Capture
Challenge
Stanford needed to deploy lecture capture across 150 classrooms to support hybrid learning and create a searchable archive of lectures. The system had to be easy for faculty to use, reliable, and integrate with their existing learning management system.
Solution
Designed a standardized 2-channel capture system for each classroom with automated recording triggered by room scheduling. Implemented AI-powered transcription for searchability and integrated with Canvas LMS for automatic course material distribution.
Results
Over 10,000 lectures captured in the first year with 95% faculty adoption rate. Student satisfaction scores increased 25%, and the searchable archive is now used by 85% of students for exam preparation and review.
"The lecture capture system has fundamentally changed how our students learn. They can review complex topics at their own pace, and the searchable transcripts make finding specific information incredibly easy. Faculty love that it just works."
