Esports Arena Production

Challenge

Riot Games needed a production system for their flagship esports arena that could handle complex multi-source productions including game feeds, player cameras, audience reactions, and commentary while streaming to millions of concurrent viewers on Twitch and YouTube.

Solution

Built a 20-channel production infrastructure with gaming PC integration, instant replay capabilities, and graphics overlay system. Implemented ultra-low-latency streaming for competitive integrity and integrated with tournament management software.

Results

Arena now hosts 100+ events annually with peak concurrent viewership of 5 million. Production quality matches traditional sports broadcasts. Players and commentators report the low-latency system provides a significant competitive advantage.
