Challenge
A major Hollywood post-production facility needed to handle the growing demand for 8K HDR content while maintaining efficient workflows for 4K and HD projects. The existing infrastructure could not handle the massive 8K file sizes and complex color grading requirements.
Solution
Deployed a high-performance 16-channel system with 192TB RAID 6 storage, optimized for 8K ProRes and RAW workflows. Integrated professional color grading stations and implemented a tiered storage system with high-speed NVMe for active projects and archive for completed work.
Results
The facility now handles 8K HDR projects with ease, processing 50% more projects annually. Color grading workflows are 3x faster, and the tiered storage system reduced storage costs by 35% while improving access times for archived content.
